Business internet for offices
Office connectivity for teams of twenty and up: enough upload for Teams and the cloud, a backup that genuinely works, and one team handling faults end to end.
For a professional office of twenty or more people, the internet connection carries the phones, the cloud systems, video calls and remote staff all at once. Asptech designs, supplies and manages office connectivity — dedicated leased lines, full fibre and backup connections — sized to how the office actually works.
What goes wrong in offices
Teams calls at ten o’clock
Calls that are fine at eight and breaking up by mid-morning point to contention or saturated upload, not a problem with Teams.
Everything is in the cloud
Microsoft 365, accounts, CRM and practice management all queue behind the same connection. When it slows, everything slows.
Remote staff and VPNs
Home workers connecting back to the office are limited by the office’s upload. A dozen people on VPN can saturate an asymmetric line.
Large files
Architects, engineers, designers and marketing teams move large files in both directions. Upload time is lost staff time.
Multi-tenant buildings
Landlord permissions, shared risers and building entry points all affect what can be installed, and how long it takes.
Moving office
Connectivity is the thing most often left until last — and a leased line can take months. Order it when the lease is signed.
Sized from how people work
We size office connectivity from real use: how many people are on video calls at once, how much lives in the cloud, how many connect in remotely, and what gets backed up off-site. That usually produces a smaller bandwidth on a better circuit than a quote built around headline speed.
Firewalling, routing, guest separation and the Wi-Fi on top are part of the same design. One team, one point of contact, and nobody arguing about whose fault it is.
When broadband is enough
A small office with modest upload needs and a tolerance for the occasional outage is often well served by full fibre broadband with a mobile backup. For teams under about twenty, that is frequently the better use of money.
Common questions
- How much bandwidth does an office need?
- Less than people expect, if it is the right kind. Upload and consistency matter more than headline download. We size it from your actual use and leave headroom for growth.
- Our landlord controls the building. Can we still get a leased line?
- Usually. The carrier will need a wayleave — the landlord’s permission to install — which can add time. We handle the paperwork and keep it moving.
- Can you provide the Wi-Fi and phones as well?
- Yes. Connectivity, firewall, Wi-Fi and telephony from one team means one design and one number to call.
